Josh Ring portrait

Josh Ring is a composer, music educator, and multi-instrumentalist from the Chicago area.  He currently serves as organist and pianist at Batavia United Methodist Church, where he also leads the worship band, directs the instrumental ensemble, and assists with the hand bell, children, and adult choirs.  He is currently pursuing a Performer’s Certificate for Organ from Northern Illinois University while serving as accompanist for the school’s Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Eric Johnson.  He is a 2016 recipient of the E. Power Biggs Fellowship Award from the Organ Historical Society and a 2016 recipient of Kay Hotchkiss Scholarship from the Rockford chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
