About Josh

Josh Ring portrait

Composer, music educator, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Ring is currently a graduate student at the University of Iowa. Studying organ with Gregory Hand, Josh is a recipient of a Rahn and Frawley Organ Fellowship from the UI School of Music. He is the first place winner of the 2018 Fox Valley Young Organists Scholarship Competition, a national competition through the American Guild of Organists. He has performed in the Netherlands, Brazil, and across the US, and has performed in masterclasses with such international artists as Olivier Latry, Nathan Laube, Stefan Engels, and Wilma Jensen. Serving as the organist at the Coralville United Methodist Church, he is also an active performer, accompanist, and educator in the Iowa City area.
